New developments in the City of London (CoL) have to comply with CoL 2020 Tall Building Guidelines. This way, a CFD-assisted thermal comfort study has been carried out to provide an assessment of the thermal comfort suitability at the ground public realm for a proposed development located in CoL. The study has been carried out following the requirements of CoL 2020 for thermal comfort. The potential for the proposed development to impact the ground-level thermal comfort has been explored within the context of existing and cumulative surroundings and compared with the existing site conditions. Using the UTCI thermal comfort index, the impact was demonstrated by deriving the following result plots:

• Annual and Seasonal UTCI
• Annual and Seasonal Percentage Acceptable UTCI
• Thermal Comfort Classifications.

This way, the assessment helped with the compliance activities of the proposed development.
