Urban and suburban wind environment

Unban and suburban wind environment modelling includes following different types of analysis and studies:
  • Site wind analyses: Weibull analyses (wind speed and direction probabilities), wind roses generation.

  • Wind environment modelling: for purpose of 3D flow visualisation, wind flow strealines, iso-surfaces and velocity and turbulent intensity contours/plots.

  • Wind environment modelling at pedestrian level and occupied terraces: for Lawson wind comfort criteria and safety assessments at pedestrian walk-throughs, sidewalks, plazas, city parks, terraces and others. Assessment of the urban canyons effect.

  • Wind environment of semi-enclosed spaces: for the assessment of bus and train stations, stadia, amphitheatres and covered pedestrian walk-throughs and shopping centres.

  • Air ventilation studies: for the assessment of the impact of newly proposed building in densely built urban regions.

  • Facade wind pressure: for the assessment of the HVAC systems design and natural ventilation of enclosed and semi-enclosed spaces.
